Hospice Austin fundraising event

I was one of about 14 boutiques at a Hospice Austin fundraising event last week. Met a lot of great ladies and some of my lucky pillows get to reside in their lovely homes now. Most of my pillows are one of a kind, so if you see something you like, do wait too long or someone else might snatch it up. I have new purchases from Japan arriving monthly, so check back often.

Happy & sad at the same time

I had my first internet sale of 2 Marimekko pillows last week.  It was incredibly exciting. These were the first of my creations leaving  my work shop.  After I returned from the post office, I was a little saddened.  A little piece of me left with those pillows.  I looked at these pillows every time I went to sit down at my sewing machine.  Now I have to create something new to take their place.

Received the most beautiful Marimekko Joiku fabric in the mail yesterday.   The colors range from bright oranges to cranberry red and the fabric gives you the feel of mountain sunsets.  Now ...... what to create next.

Here we go!

A wise man once said "Do what you love, and you'll never work a day in your life." Sewing and embroidery has been a passion of mine since I was a little girl. After a long and rewarding career as a Geological Technician, I am thrilled to announce the launch of Stitch & Stones: Artistry, my collection of handmade home decor featuring unique textiles, beautifully detailed embroidery, decorative beads and more.

Since we're still in the launch phase and planning on rolling out lots of exciting news in the upcoming months, I'd really appreciate your support in following me on Facebook and Twitter. Signing up for our newsletter is a great idea, too - and we promise we won't ever inundate your inbox with crazy amounts of email.
